Local Chef Mohammed Shahrom graduated from SHATEC and has been cooking for seven years. Formerly a Sous Chef at Lolla and Garibaldi, he is currently the Head Chef of Seah Street European stalwart SELA. Shahrom fell in love with Italian cooking during a study tour to Italy after visiting some of Italy’s finest restaurants and training with Italian master chefs, and left a deep impression on his approach to cooking. Shahrom brings a light touch to his use of premium, locally sourced ingredients to cook classic and modern European cuisine with local flourishes. Shahrom’s focus on fine dining also prioritises accessibility, affordability and a simple approach to European classics.
